Directions to Monticello Motor Club
(67 Cantrell Road, Monticello, NY 12701)
By Car or Trailer:
When driving to MMC by car, toterhome, or towing a large trailer, follow your GPS/Internet directions to Route 17 (heading East or West) and then continue with the directions below.
DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR GPS ALL OF THE WAY – MOST GPS’s TAKE YOU THROUGH DOWNTOWN MONTICELLO WHICH IS UNDER HEAVY CONSTRUCTION!
Heading WEST on ROUTE 17:
- Exit 106.
- Make a left at stop sign onto Cimarron Road.
- Drive .3 miles to the Mobil Gas Station on your left.
- After the Mobil gas station, make a left on to Rose Valley Rd.
- Drive approximately 1 mile and make a right at the first stop sign onto SOUTH WOODS DRIVE.
- Continue to the end of South Woods Drive Road (approx 1 mile) and make a left onto Cold Spring Road.
- Continue on Cold Spring Road approx 1/4 mile and make your first right onto Cantrell Road (you’ll see “Playhouse Manor” on your right).
- Continue approx 1 mile on Cantrell Road. The entrance to Monticello Motor Club will be on the right. Especially for those towing, be prepared to stop as the entrance is at the bottom of a small hill.
Head EAST on ROUTE 17:
- Exit 107. At the end of the exit, make a right (E Broadway). Continue straight at the stop sign until you see the Mobil Station on your left (approx ½ mile).
- After the Mobil gas station, make a left on to Rose Valley Rd.
- Drive approximately 1 mile and make a right at the first stop sign onto SOUTH WOODS DRIVE.
- Continue to the end of South Woods Drive Road (approx 1 mile) and make a left onto Cold Spring Road.
- Continue on Cold Spring Road approx 1/4 mile and make your first right onto Cantrell Road (you’ll see “Playhouse Manor” on your right).

For the safety and respect of our neighbors, please follow posted speed limits when driving to MMC and especially when on backroads close to the track.
Speed limits are also strictly enforced on Route 17 by local and state police. If you exceed speed limits, especially in work zones, you will likely get pulled over. From Middletown, NY (84/17 intersection), you will reach MMC 6 minutes earlier if you speed 85 MPH instead of following posted limits. It’s not worth it, especially considering there are no speed limits once on the race track!
