WHERE IS THE TRACK LOCATED?

Monticello Motor Club is located at 67 Cantrell Road, Monticello, NY 12701 at the foot of the Catskill Mountains, making us the closest motorsports venue to New York City. We are just 90 miles from Manhattan and just 25 minutes by helicopter to our trackside heliport. For those visiting via private air charter, Sullivan County airport is less than 15 minutes away.

WHAT IS THE SEASON FOR EVENTS?

Monticello Motor Club is open from April through November. We can also host unique “off-season” Events. Please contact us for additional information.

IS THIS PROGRAM OPEN TO NOVICE DRIVERS?

Yes. Anyone with a valid driver’s license can participate in our programs. Our instructors work with drivers of every skill and confidence level to make sure that you get the most from their day with us in safest way possible.

HOW IS SAFETY ADDRESSED?

Monticello Motor Club strives to be one of the safest racetracks in the world. We offer generous runoff areas and the latest in safety systems. Our staff of track professionals is dedicated to helping guests have an enjoyable, exciting, and – most importantly – safe visit every time they are on the track. On track operations are monitored by safety personnel on site and professional driving instructors are with guests providing direction at all times.

WHAT ARE THE DRIVER REQUIREMENTS?

Each driver needs to be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid US or Canadian drivers license. Certain additional restrictions may apply depending on which event is scheduled. Please contact us if any drivers are under 25 or over 70 years of age. Drivers must also be able to drive the cars without the aid of special equipment. We can provide both Automatic and Manual transmission vehicles.

WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE?

Each driver is responsible for any damage that occurs while on the racetrack. We maintain full liability coverage and we can add additional liability coverage for your company for an added fee. For events featuring the Cadillac CTS-V’s the cost is $500 additional per person. Please call us for more details on this program.

DO I NEED A HELMET?

We will provide helmets for the track portion of the event at no additional charge. Participants may also bring their own helmet with as long as it meets our specifications. Please call for additional information.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Participants wear comfortable and casual clothing. Long pants and long sleeve shirts are preferred. Driving shoes or shoes with laces and a soft, flat sole are required. (No sandals). For chillier days, dress in layers that you can easily exchange throughout the day. Avoid clothing that is bulky or restrictive. Shoes should have soft rubber soles with laces and no heel.

ARE NON DRIVING GUESTS ALLOWED?

Yes, as long as you advise us of the number of non-participating attendees while your program is being planned, we can accommodate them with meals and the chance to go for a ride-along with an instructor behind the wheel. The fee, if any, for non-driving guests will be determined depending on the style of your event. *WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN MONTICELLO?* In the spring and autumn months, the weather in Monticello can be as much as 10 degrees cooler than in New York City, otherwise it is much the same. Check the forecast the evening before your program. Keep in mind that you will be outside for a majority of the day so being prepared for a full day of exposure to the elements is crucial. We suggest that you layer your clothes as the temperature changes during the day.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

Our events run rain or shine. The rain actually adds to the experience and can add to the fun. If the weather is persistent and does not allow for safe operation we may give you the option to reschedule to a later date.

WHERE CAN I STAY OVERNIGHT IN THE AREA?

Our Concierges can suggest several overnight accommodations from quant Bed and Breakfasts to full service hotels all within 20 miles of our facility.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

• Helmet (If you do not have one, we can supply you with one).
• Driving shoes or a shoe with laces and a soft, flat sole. (No sandals please).
• Comfortable clothing (Long pants and long sleeve preferred).
• Camera (Remember your experience and share it with friends and family)
• Driver’s License.
