WHAT IS MONTICELLO MOTOR CLUB?
Monticello Motor Club (“MMC”) is a private country club for motorsports enthusiasts, a place where people who love cars can experience them the way they were meant to be driven. MMC is place where people gather with friends, family, business colleagues to entertain, and other guests – to drive, race, kart, and experience life to its fullest.
Picture a high-end golf club but replace the links with 4.1 miles of twisty baby-smooth asphalt and you’ve got MMC along with all of the amenities you’d expect: a stunning glass and steel clubhouse with classrooms, bar, kitchen, pro-shop, breakfast/coffee bar, private member’s lounge, lockers and showers, and attached temperature controlled garages overlooking the South Pits, an automotive service center to prep and keep your car on track, private car storage, trailer storage, off-road courses, karting for kids, and more.
HOW LONG IS THE SEASON AT MONTICELLO MOTOR CLUB?
Monticello Motor Club is open from mid-April through mid-November, weather dependent.
AM I LIMITED TO HOW MANY TIMES A YEAR I CAN DRIVE?
For Gold Members, The Monticello Motor Club is unique in offering over 200 track days per year – allowing you unprecedented track access. Additionally, we offer Silver and Bronze Memberships, providing a more limited driving schedule.
HOW LONG IS THE RACETRACK?
The track is 4.1 miles and includes 22 unique turns and 12 distinct configurations. With over 1.5 miles of straights and 450 feet of elevation changes, the Monticello Motor Club has both technical and high-speed components. The most popular configuration is our “Full Course”, a 3.6 mile configuration with 18 turns.
WHO DESIGNED THE ROAD COURSE AT MONTICELLO MOTOR CLUB?
The design of the road course is the first combined effort of Brian Redman, world-famous driving champion and winner of 77 races in 12 countries, and Bruce Hawkins, an established track architect and engineer of some of the best racetracks in the world.
WHERE IS MONTICELLO MOTOR CLUB LOCATED?
The Monticello Motor Club is located in Monticello, NY at the foot of the Catskill Mountains, making us the closest motorsports venue to New York City. Our facility is 90 minutes by car from Manhattan and just 25 minutes by helicopter to our trackside heliport. Newburgh Airport (“Stewart Airport”) is 40 minutes away with daily flights to several US cities, and Sullivan County Airport is 10 minutes away and accommodates our members and guests arriving by private plane.
HOW IS SAFETY ADDRESSED?
The Monticello Motor Club strives to be one of the safest racetracks in the world. We offer generous runoff areas and the latest in safety systems. Our staff of track professionals is dedicated to helping members have an enjoyable, exciting, and – most importantly – safe visit every time they are on the track. Drivers are grouped by vehicle type and skill level to help ensure everyone is comfortable with track conditions at all times.
