WHERE IS THE TRACK LOCATED?
The Monticello Motor Club is located in Monticello, N.Y. at the foot of the Catskill Mountains, making is the closest motorsports venue to New York City. Our facility is 90 minutes by car from Manhattan and just 25minutes by helicopter to our trackside heliport. Sullivan county airport isonly 15 minutes away.

WHAT IS THE SEASON FOR EVENTS?
The Monticello Motor Club is open from April through November. Events are scheduled throughout the year. Please contact us for further information on available dates.
IS THIS PROGRAM OPEN TO NOVICE DRIVERS?
Yes. Anyone with a valid driver's license can participate in the programs. Our instructors work with drivers of every skill and confidence level to make sure that you get the most from your day with us in safest way possible.
HOW IS SAFETY ADDRESSED?
The Monticello Motor Club strives to be one of the safest racetracks in the world. We offer generous runoff areas and the latest in safety systems. Our staff of track professionals is dedicated to helping guests have an enjoyable, exciting, and - most importantly - safe visit every time they are on the track. On track safety personnel on site monitor operations and professional driving instructors are with guests providing direction at alltimes.
WHAT ARE THE DRIVER REQUIREMENTS?
Each driver needs to be over 21 years of age and hold a valid US or Canadian drivers license. Certain further restrictions apply depending on which event you schedule. Drivers must also be able to drive the cars without the aid of special equipment. Automatic and manual vehicles transmissions vehicles are available.
WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE?
Each driver is responsible for his or her actions while on the racetrack. Prior to entering the facility, each person is required to sign a liability waiver. For events featuring the Cadillac CTS-V, you are provided damage coverage with a $7,500 maximum deductible.
DO I NEED A HELMET?
We will provide helmets for the track portion of the event at no additional charge. You may also bring your own Snell 2005 or newer helmet.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
Feel free to wear comfortable and casual clothing. Long pants are required and long sleeve shirts are preferred. Driving shoes or shoes with laces and a soft, flat sole are required. (No sandals). For chillier days, dress in layers that you can easily exchange throughout the day. Avoid clothing that is bulky or restrictive. Shoes should have soft rubber soles with laces and no heel (sorry ladies, you'll have to leave the Manolos in the closet). Bulky or heavy shoes should also be avoided.
ARE NON-DRIVING GUESTS ALLOWED?
Yes, as long as you advise us of the number of non-participating attendees while your program is being planned, we can accommodate them with meals and the chance to go for a ride-along with an instructor behind the wheel. The fee for non-driving guests will be determined depending on the style of your event.
WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN MONTICELLO?
In the spring and autumn months, the weather in Monticello can be as much as 10 degrees cooler than in New York City, otherwise it is much the same. Check the forecast the evening before your program. Keep in mind that you will be outside for parts of the day so be prepared for a full day of exposure to the elements by ensuring that you layer your clothes as the temperature changes during the day.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
Our events run rain or shine. The rain actually adds to the experience, learning environment, and can add to the fun. If the weather is persistent and does not allow for safe operation we may give you the option to reschedule to a later date.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
o Helmet (If you do not have one, we can supply you with one).
o Driving shoes with a laces and a soft, flat sole. (No sandals please).
o Comfortable clothing (Long pants required).
o Camera (Remember the experience, share it with friends and family)
o Drivers license.

HOW DO I GET TO THE TRACK?

Heading WEST on ROUTE 17:
Take Exit 106.
Make a LEFT at stop sign onto Cimarron Road, continue on bridge over Rt17
At Stop Light, make a RIGHT just over bridge towards Mobil Station.
Drive .3 miles to the Mobil Gas Station on your left.
Make a LEFT after the Mobil gas station on to Rose Valley Rd.
Drive approximately 1 mile and make a RIGHT at the first stop sign onto South Woods Drive.
Continue to the end of South Woods Drive (approx. 1 mile)
Make a LEFT onto Cold Spring Road.
Continue on Cold Spring Road approx. 1/4 mile
Make first RIGHT on Cantrell Road (you'll see "Playhouse Manor" on right).
Continue approx. 1 mile on Cantrell Road. The entrance to Monticello Motor Club will be on the RIGHT. Especially for those towing, be prepared to stop as the entrance is at the bottom of a small hill.
Head EAST on ROUTE 17:
Take Exit 106.
At the end of the exit, make a RIGHT. Make another RIGHT at Stop light.
Drive .3 miles to the Mobil Gas Station on your left.
Make a LEFT after the Mobil gas station on to Rose Valley Rd.
Drive approximately 1 mile and make a RIGHT at the first stop sign onto South Woods Drive.
Continue to the end of South Woods Drive (approx. 1 mile)
Make a LEFT onto Cold Spring Road.
Continue on Cold Spring Road approx. 1/4 mile

For the safety and respect of our neighbors, please follow posted speed limits when driving to MMC and especially when on back roads close to the track.
Speed limits are strictly enforced on Route 17 by local and state police. If you exceed speed limits, especially in work zones, you will likely get pulled over.
