Navigating the COVID-19 pandemic together.

Monticello Motor Club is, once again, open to Members and guests.

The Club is committed to protecting the health of our Members, guests, and staff. Like many others, we will are taking precautionary measures as recommended by the CDC and local governments before, during, and after all of our Members and guest experiences.

  • The temperature of all staff, members and guests will be taken prior to entry into the Club.
  • All staff, members and guests will be required to wear a mask when unable to maintain a social distance of at least 6′.
  • After each use, vehicles are given a steam treatment to kill 99.99% of germs and bacteria in a safe, eco-friendly manner.
  • Vehicles will be delivered to our guests fully sanitized with the steering wheel and shifter wrapped in plastic for the driver to remove upon arrival.
  • All equipment is laundered and sanitized before each use.

We are fortunate that motorsports is uniquely geared for this health crisis. Unlike other sports, our typical on-track uniforms boast full coverage of nasal passages (balaclavas), protective shields (full-faced helmets), and skin protection (head-to-toe Nomex gear). Without passengers, we self-quarantine whenever we drive on track, while engaging in critical exercise and stress relief – something we all need during this historic time.

Let MMC be an escape where you can enjoy life in a safer, controlled environment.  We look forward to welcoming you to the property.

Courtesy of IEEE: Back in the 1980s, when Volkswagen birthed the hot hatchback with the GTI, owners like me thought 110 horsepower was a big deal. Things being what they are today, we now have the Ford Focus RS, which spins up a borderline-ridiculous 261 kilowatts (350 horsepower) and 475 newton meters (350 foot-pounds) of turbocharged torque from a dinky 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine. That’s more force than you get from many V-8s. Ford’s little beastie is designed to handle the

I drove the fastest Jaguar sports car in the world

Courtesy of Business Insider: The Jaguar F-Type is one of my favorite cars. I like the F-Type so much that I nearly swayed my colleague Matt DeBord into handing the Jag Business Insider’s Car of the Year award in 2014 instead of the game-changing Corvette Stingray. Over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of spending hundreds of miles behind the wheel of roughly half a dozen versions of the British sports car — including V6-engine coupes with

This is Why We Love ATVs

Courtesy of PopularMechanics: FOUR MEN (AND A BOY) FIND OUT IF IT’S POSSIBLE TO HAVE TOO MUCH HORSEPOWER. I grew up riding ATVs. My pre-driver’s-license formative years were spent traversing the Maine woods aboard a Kawasaki Mojave 250 and a Honda 250X. These 1990s sport machines had manual transmissions, kick-starters, and a top speed just beyond 50 mph, which seemed fast enough when you were cutting through the trees like you’re Luke Skywalker on his speeder
