Imagine a place without speed limits – a place where you can bring your car and finally drive it the way it was meant to be driven. Picture yourself driving on 4.1 miles of private, twisty asphalt with family and friends, sharing new experiences and learning the art of high-performance driving, from life-saving road skills to actual race craft. Envision kids six and older on a private karting track, taught by a dedicated team, while you hone your skills with a professional racing instructor. Learn why our members say, “I’ve never lived life to the fullest until now.” No experience is necessary, and over half of our members had no track experience prior to joining MMC.

Stop dreaming and experience life as a member of Monticello Motor Club where you’ll enjoy virtually unlimited access to America’s most exciting race track. featuring 22 unique turns, 12 configurations, and 1.5 miles of adrenaline-fueled straights. Members enjoy four seasons-level service, including a dedicated concierge team and private chef, world-class professional driving instruction for you and your family (teens 13 years and older learn race craft in real racecars, making them safer drivers when they actually get their license), private garage storage, an expansive off-road course, and a full-service karting facility for members and their children (6 and up).

Life As A Member

Our members come from diverse backgrounds and experience. Half of our members have no prior track experience. Some have multi-bay garages full of Ferraris while others enjoy piloting Miata racecars. Some enjoy exercising their vintage collections in a safer, controlled environment while others want to experience their new exotic at speed. Some want to bond with their teens on the race track, while others want to entertain business colleagues. Some want a place they can enjoy as much as their kids six and older (karting!) while others want to escape with their close friends. Some want to rent racecars from our large fleet and compete against fellow members, while others want to relax, watch from the private clubhouse, and enjoy meals prepared by our private chef.

Member driving access is practically unlimited during the driving season (weather dependent but typically mid-April through early November). Members have access to the track on most weekends and about three out of five weekdays.

The Club typically utilizes the limited non-member days for corporate, manufacturer, and charity events. MMC is a private country club and is generally not open to the public. MMC does not rent to groups or individuals who resell access (i.e., car clubs).

If you can envision yourself here, then call +1 855 MMC CLUB or via email info@monticellomotorclub.com.

Individual membership licenses are the preferred option for members joining alone or for two immediate family members such as a married couple or a parent and child. More than 50 percent of members have no prior track experience (but are up to speed quickly and may be racing, if that’s the goal, within weeks).

GOLD membership licenses make up the majority of members. This membership license provides unlimited driving, unlimited driver guest privileges, half-day driving instruction for no additional fees, and priority access. GOLD is a lifetime membership and is salable upon the Club reaching 500 membership licenses. Also, GOLD members may purchase additional GOLD or SILVER membership licenses for immediate family at half the initiation fee and half the annual dues.

SILVER is often considered by individuals who intend to bring a few friends, family, and colleagues to drive or entertain. SILVER members are geographically dispersed since the membership license is value-oriented for those living near MMC or across the country. SILVER is a lifetime membership and is salable upon
the Club reaching 500 membership licenses. Also, SILVER members may purchase additional SILVER membership licenses for immediate family members at half the initiation fee and half the annual dues.

BRONZE is an entry-level membership license usually considered by individuals who seek access to the Club with little or no intent of bringing driving or non-driving guests. BRONZE members often have track or race experience, want a place to practice and compete, and value convenience, accessibility, and hours of track time. Many BRONZE members live beyond a 5-hour drive or are young professionals early in their careers. BRONZE is a 10-year membership and is not salable. Non-member guests may visit through a retail driving experience (e.g., the Taste of the Track) as if they were coming without a member.

Non-members are limited to driving at MMC no more than twice per season (including immediate family members who are not Club members) or five times in any five consecutive years (with the exception of immediate family).

FOOTNOTES FOR THE 2017 MMC | GROUP MEMBERSHIPS

(1) The group may name up to five (5) individuals (known as “Designees”), and the annual dues are based on five (5) Designees (even if the number of Designees is less). Designees in excess of five (5) may be purchased at any time at the then-current price per additional designee. When annual dues statements are mailed, the amount will be the then-current annual dues divided by five (5) and multiplied by the actual number of Designees (five [5] minimum). For example, if a Family membership has named six (6) Designees as of Dec. 31, 2016, and if the 2017 annual dues for a Family membership are $19,700, then the 2017 dues for this Family membership license would be $19,700 / 5 * 6 = $23,640.

(2) Membership expires 2056 but is commonly referred to as “lifetime”.

(3) Groups may add, change, or delete names of Designee(s) who have been assigned rights to use the membership license. A Designee change/addition fee is charged only after the first five (5) Designees are named by the group. For example, the Sullivan Realty Group names five (5) Designees in its first two years of membership. Sullivan is not charged a fee for the naming of these initial five (5) Designees. In its third year of membership, Sullivan hires a new CFO, removes its old CFO as a Designee, and names its new CFO as a Designee. Sullivan would be charged a Designee change/addition fee.

(4) All guests must be accompanied by a Designee. The Club reserves the right to limit the maximum number of driver and/or non-driver guests, per-day limits, and/or facility capacity limits.

(5) Family member Designees may utilize MMC staff instructors for half-day instruction at no additional cost. Advance notice required, and first-come, first-reserved. Cancellation/no show fees may apply.

(6) Discounts apply to corporate events, driving schools, fleet rentals, private instruction, and Tastes of the Track.

[ FAQs ]

Do I need track experience?

Absolutely not. Half of our members had never been on a race track prior to joining. Our team of professional instructors will work with you one-on-one to help you progress at your pace and build confidence on the track. Usually within one to three days, members without prior experience are checked off to solo (i.e., driving without an instructor). Members may then drive solo for hours on most track days, take passengers, and rent from MMC’s fleet of street cars. For members who are then interested in advancing their racecraft, MMC’s instructors are available to continue development, including the skills needed to race side by side in our private MMC member race series. There’s no pressure. It’s up to you.

What about my family?

Spend a day at Monticello Motor Club, and you’ll notice many couples and families. Spouses may be seen driving matching cars or competing for faster lap times. Teens as young as 13 drive actual racecars after working with our instructors on basic driving skills, manual shift cars, and racing techniques. It’s common to see fathers and their sons and/or daughters in race suits, competing side by side in our private race series. Our teen members are better, safer drivers, even before they have an actual license. Meanwhile, children six and older enjoy karting on our new, private 0.6-mile karting track side by side with friends or parents. Family membership privileges differ by membership type. Silver and Gold members may add an immediate family member for half the normal initiation fee and annual dues. Our Family membership provides the best value and flexibility for three or more immediate family members.

Do I need a dedicated track vehicle?

Not at all. While quite a few of our members have dedicated cars for the track, many will drive up for the day in their street cars. They’ll check the tires pressures, don their helmets and off they go. As long as your car can pass a safety tech inspection, practically any car can be driven on the track. There are some limitations with convertibles, so please check with our staff to get more detailed info. MMC also maintains a large rental fleet, ranging from street cars for novice members to race-prepared cars for more advanced driving or wheel-to-wheel competition. First-time visitors considering membership have access to a handful of cars for a limited experience, while approved members have access to the entire fleet. MMC also offers a Fleet Access Program, which allows members to enjoy access to an impressive and ever-growing collection of high-performance vehicles –and the exhilarating fun that comes with them – while avoiding the commitment and expense of private racecar or kart ownership. Members who utilize Fleet Access Program pay a fraction of normal daily rentals, and don’t have the headache of additional costs associated with maintenance, fuel, transportation, or vehicle storage. Members can utilize their Fleet Access Points to rent vehicles for use in a Racing School or an MMC race. Members may also use their points for private driving instruction.

How many days a year is the track open?

Member driving access is practically unlimited during the driving season (weather dependent but typically mid-April through early November). Members have access to the track on most weekends and about three out of five weekdays. The Club typically utilizes the limited non-member days for corporate, manufacturer, and charity events. MMC is a private country club and is generally not open to the public. The Club does not rent to groups or individuals who resell access (i.e., car clubs).

Are there any other member benefits I should consider?

Absolutely! MMC also provides its members with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to attend exclusive special events – both at MMC and elsewhere – throughout the year. Some of the events our members have enjoyed recently include: Members-only party for Vacheron Constantin Harmony Collection in NYC; Camp4 Canada, a Porsche winter driving experience; BMW M Experience; Radical Racecar test drives; Praga Racecar test drives; Aircraft access from Performance Flight; pit passes to professional races (ex.: IMSA, United Sports Car, American Le Mans, World Challenge, and IndyCar, etc.); concours events, etc.

When did MMC open, how many members have joined, and what’s the limit?

MMC opened in July 2008, and since then, we have grown to over 440 individuals with membership privileges. Membership is limited to 750 licenses, and we typically raise the price of each membership license annually. We will continue to do so until sold out. Members may resell their licenses (limitations apply). Upon achieving 750 members, we will maintain a waiting list for approved applicants who may purchase a license as memberships are resold.

How do I apply for membership?

If you’ve never been to MMC, the first step is to schedule a visit. The Club has a constant demand for membership, and this is not a sales process but rather a membership journey. Qualified guests may book a tour or a driving experience. During your visit, we’ll get to know each other, and you’ll speak with existing members. If we mutually agree that membership is appropriate, then you’ll complete a Membership Application. An existing MMC member or partner must sponsor your application. If you don’t know any MMC members and wish to pursue membership, then you’ll spend some time with one of the Club owners who may opt to sponsor you.
